The Perry Chamber of Commerce held their monthly Chamber Coffee Friday morning, with a small but interested group meeting at First Christian Church for the networking event.
Attendees chatted about current happenings around the City and state, and helped themselves to refreshments. Pastor Andrea Brownlee then talked about the church, focusing mainly on their twice-weekly Clothes Closet that they operate out of their basement. The group was able to ask questions about the program, and got a tour of the operation. However, shortly after the Coffee wrapped up, Brownlee announced they would be suspending the Clothes Closet through the end of March due to the threat of 2019 novel coronavirus.
The Chamber hosts the Coffee event the second Friday of every month as a way to bring the community together to learn about what’s happening in Perry and meet new people.
