Next week’s spring break won’t be the last for the West Central Valley School District after Wednesday’s school board meeting.
The Board approved the 2020-2021 calendar on a 5-2 vote, which includes a weeklong break the week of March 15th, and the calendar being based on required hours instead of days for students, at 1,080 minimum. The Board also approved moving forward with new marching band uniform purchases, with the District’s contribution to later be determined. In other business, the Board approved the first reading of Board policies regarding processes of purchasing, bidding, and awarding construction contracts, renewed an annual agreement with the Madison County Career Academy, and 2020-2021 contract issuing letters of assignment for classified staff under the agreement between the District and Laborer’s Local #177.
