Several Greene County High School students did well at the Heart of Iowa Art Conference competition.

The contest was held last week at Prairie City-Monroe High School. Of the artwork that was submitted by Greene County, 21 received blue ribbons and the Rams took home eight of nine “Best of Class” categories. Those earning “Best of Class” distinction include Jayden Carstens for “pencil” and “pen and ink” displays, Sophia Ausberger for “charcoal,” Lizzie Allen for her “pastel” and “mixed media” artwork, Louise Anselmo for “printmaking,” Faith Hankel for “oils” and Eliot Schilling for “hand-built ceramics.”
