The Dallas County Board of Supervisors convened Tuesday morning in regular session.
The meeting began with the presentation of certificates of appreciation, where six County employees were honored for their years of service. Following that, the Board approved a contract with C.L. Carroll Company of Des Moines in the amount of $274,800 for the Ortonville Lagoon demolition project. Next, they approved three items for the Secondary Roads Department, starting with permits for three gravel road dust control vendors. The other two items were related purchase requests, one for a Mack Pinnacle day cab truck for $124,850 from Housby Mack, and the other for a belly dump trailer for $40,837 from Jim Hawk Truck Trailers.
The Board then approved the canvass of their portion of the Earlham School District special election, and a contract with County Binders, Incorporated for $6,016.90 to restore old Board minute books. They also had discussion but no action on a business protocol agreement with Lifequest on behalf of the Emergency Medical Services Department, and a 28E agreement with Central Iowa Workforce Development, Region 11.
