As construction is underway for the third new housing addition in Stuart, a new recurring event hopes to better engage with incoming residents on different activities and opportunities that the City has to offer.
The Stuart Revitalization Group will be hosting its first “Welcome to Stuart” open house on Wednesday April 1st from 6-7 p.m. at the Stuart Public Library. Stuart Chamber of Commerce Director Brenda Dudley says this in-person event will enhance their past practice of giving new residents a welcome packet, “Very informal, just walk around, kind of like a job fair, just go from table to table or from person to person and introduce yourself, find out what Stuart has to offer our new residents, try to get them involved in things and get to meet some new people in town.”
The revitalization group invites any local organizations that would like to promote themselves for this anticipated quarterly event. This includes youth sports, 4-H, boy and girl scouts, churches, businesses and more. Those interested in participating can contact Dudley at stuartchamber@aol.com or 515-205-0081.
