The 3rd Annual BOOST Bash fundraiser is coming on up on Saturday, March 28 in Jefferson and time is running out to reserve a seat.
The Bringing Optimism and Opportunities to Students and Teachers (BOOST) of Greene County Committee is hosting the fundraiser on Saturday at the Greene Room events center at Wild Rose Casino and Resort. The group raises money for teachers and staff of the Greene County School District, with over $67,000 raised last year.
Once again BOOST is having a live and silent auction. BOOST committee member Matt Wetrich says bidding for the silent auction is done electronically.
“So the neat thing about that is: ‘A’ if you can’t make the event and you still want to be a part of it and bid on some items, you can do that from anywhere, anywhere you have cell phone service you can do that. (The) Other neat thing is then you can do that right from your seats at the event.”
The event begins with a social time at 5pm, with a fajita buffet meal served at 6:30pm and the live auction to follow. Tickets are $30 per person and the deadline to reserve your seat is Friday.
