As International Women’s Day was celebrated at the beginning of the week, the Panora Public Library is hosting an Iowan author to speak on some notable women this Thursday.

Presenter Cheryl Mullenbach will be discussing “Iowa’s Misbehaving Women” from 2-3 p.m. at the library. Mullenbach has written several nonfiction historical books including Stagecoach Women, Women in Blue, Double Victory, and other children’s books centered on the Great Depression and the Industrial Revolution. She also plans to release a book about the women of the Spanish-American War in 2022. This event is free and open to the public.
