A two-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning resulted in the arrest of one individual by the Perry Police Department.
Police Chief Eric Vaughn tells Raccoon Valley Radio, he and some police officers, along with the Perry Fire Department, Perry First Responders and Dallas County Emergency Medical Services responded to the wreck at the intersection of First Avenue and Lucinda Street at around 5:45am. Vaughn says a 2016 Chrysler driven by 24-year-old Nelson Lawrence of Perry collided with a 2015 Honda driven by Antonia Ibarra-Amador of Perry. Only minor injuries were reported from the incident, and they were treated at the scene.
Officers then conducted a field sobriety test of Lawrence based on probable cause, and he was subsequently arrested and charged with OWI – first offense. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
