Wednesday, March 4th

12:25am: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a traffic stop in the 500 block of North Elm Street in Jefferson.

9:35am: A deputy assisted with a dog at large located in the area of 800 Eagle Street in Scranton.

1:57pm: A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint in the 200 block of 220th Street.

4:59pm: A deputy investigated a dog bite complaint in the 800 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.

5:00pm: Michael Lee Devilbiss (36) of Perry, was booked into the Greene County Jail for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Cause to Engage in Act.

6:14pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle parked in a field drive near 220th Street and S Avenue.

9:16pm: Christopher Brian Long (27) of Jefferson, was booked into the Greene County Jail for Possession of Controlled Substance-Marijuana, 1st Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

11:15pm: A deputy cleared the roadway of debris in the 1300 block of J Avenue.

Thursday, March 5th

5:41am: A deputy investigated a vehicle versus deer accident in the 800 block of 220th Street. Jacy Lynn Newton (28) of Grand Junction, was traveling west on 220th Street when multiple deer came out of the north ditch. Newton’s 2013 Ford Fusion was struck on the front driver’s side. Estimated damage to the vehicle is approximately $1000 and it was able to be moved on its own from the scene.

2:02pm: A deputy assisted the Greene County Ambulance in the 400 block of Main Street in Scranton.

9:26pm: A deputy was patrolling in Churdan and noticed posted stop signs that had been damaged. The Deputy advised City Churdan of the findings.

11:10pm: John Emery Welch (58) of Grand Junction, was booked into the Greene County Jail for Violation of Probation.

Friday, March 6th

5:59am: A deputy assisted the Greene County Ambulance in the 300 block of South Oak in Jefferson.

9:29am: A deputy assisted with a dog at large in 1000 block of Eagle Street in Scranton.

10:44am: A deputy investigated a driving complaint in the 600 block of 15th Street South in Grand Junction.

1:18pm: A deputy assisted the Scranton Fire Department with a fire in the area of 200th Street and G Avenue.

1:25pm: A deputy investigated a possible cat hoarding complaint in the 100 block of 310th Street.

8:28pm: A deputy investigated a complaint of ATV’s in an area of the 100 block of North College Street in Paton.

8:36pm: A deputy assisted Calhoun County with locating a possible suicidal and intoxicated subject. The subject was located in Calhoun County.

9:12pm: A deputy cleared road debris in the 900 block of N Avenue.

Saturday, March 7th

1:10am: Kenneth Lee Molle (81) of Jefferson, was booked into the Greene County Jail for Operating While Under the Influence – 1st Offense.

1:43am: A deputy investigated a vehicle versus deer accident in the 1000 block of Eaton Avenue. Cassie Lynn Lentz (27) of Scranton, was traveling north on Eaton Avenue in her 2011 GMC Arcadia when she struck a deer. The impact with deer damaged the front driver’s side bumper and the grille, with an estimate damage of $1500. No tow was needed for vehicle removal.

7:43am: A deputy investigated a vehicle in the ditch at the intersection of A Avenue and 165th Street. Chiara Lynn Anderson (17) of Jefferson, was traveling north on A Avenue and lost control where the pavement transitioned to gravel. She entered the east ditch striking the embankment that caused the vehicle to roll over and land on its wheels in the field. Damage to the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GT was estimated at $5000. No injuries were reported and vehicle was towed from the scene.

3:57pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 260th Street and E Avenue.

8:34pm: A deputy assisted with a disoriented driver in the area of Neola Avenue and 300th Street.

Sunday, March 8th

3:13am: A deputy assisted with a welfare check in the 500 block of 16th Street North in Grand Junction.

3:59pm: A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint from Boone County on 220th Street.

5:14pm: A deputy assisted the Grand Junction Fire Department at 16th Street railroad crossing.

6:05pm: Ryan Douglas Patterson (39) of Jefferson was booked into the Greene County Jail for Violation of No Contact/Protective Order, 7 counts.

7:52pm: Candice Marie Ortiz (32) of Grand Junction, was booked into the Greene County Jail for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense and Criminal Mischief -5th Degree (3 counts).

9:20pm: A deputy investigated an assault in the 700 block of Main Street in Scranton.

11:28pm: A deputy did investigate an alarm in the 500 block of 16th Street in Grand Junction.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
