A Panora man was arrested and pleaded guilty this week to a trespassing charge, while several other criminal cases of his are ongoing.
According to court documents, 20-year-old Korey Linn Cassady went to the victim’s residence located in the 2900 block of Wagon Road in Stuart at about 10 p.m. Sunday night after being told not to. Cassady remained at the residence and made verbal statements to the victim. Upon law enforcement’s arrival Cassady was gone. He was later located with his parents in their vehicle in Stuart and was arrested and charged with trespassing first offense, a simple misdemeanor. He pleaded guilty on Monday and was ordered to pay over $200 for a fine, surcharge, and court costs.
Cassady also faces a class D felony charge for possession of a controlled substance – third or subsequent offense from a February 2nd incident; and probation revocation for original convictions of operating a vehicle without owner’s consent, an aggravated misdemeanor, domestic abuse assault – first offense, a simple misdemeanor, and domestic abuse assault – second offense, a serious misdemeanor.
