The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.
The meeting will begin with discussion on the discontinuation of using class rank at the high school. The action items will begin with approving the publication of the fiscal year 2021 budget and setting a public hearing for the budget certification. Following that, the Board will consider an engagement agreement with Ahlers and Coonery for bond and disclosure counsel, as well as directing the advertisement for sale and bidding of the bond notes for the new elementary school in Adel. Other items related to the new building include: starting the naming process; a proposal for the building commissioning and energy services; and amending the resolution authorizing the redemption of the general obligation bonds.
Other items on the agenda include the disposal of obsolete equipment at the Minburn Elementary building, an agreement with the West Central Valley School District for transportation services, and a contract with Behavior Health. The Board will then have a possible closed session to discuss confidential records, as well as an exempt session for negotiation strategy. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Board room at the ADM District Administration Center in Adel.
