Spring break for the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District will run from Friday, March 13th through Sunday the 22nd, and for families sticking around the Adel Public Library has a few programs scheduled to keep them entertained.
The first event will feature a notable guest. Miss Iowa 2019 Emily Tinsman will be on hand at 10:30 a.m. on the 13th, equipped with music-themed stories, sing-alongs, and crafts for all ages. The next two programs will both welcome Chip and Lots o’Dots from Pink Stew Entertainment. First they’ll be at the library on Tuesday, March 17th at 10:30 a.m. to teach attendees how to make kazoos, followed by a “parade.” The duo will then return Thursday the 19th for a magic show, which will be at 2 p.m. in the community room.
Finally, the library encourages kids to join them Wednesday the 18th at 10:30 a.m., as they will show the 2019 film “Dumbo” on the big screen in the community room. Snacks will be provided thanks to the Adel Vet Clinic, and attendees can bring their own drinks. Each of the spring break programs is free to attend, and only the kazoo event requires registration.
