***All events at the Stuart Public Library have been cancelled until April***
The Stuart Public Library has concocted over a week’s worth of free children’s programming while the West Central Valley School District takes its spring break.
The first event will be held Friday, March 13th where kids can create a pair of “Leprechaun Looker” binoculars to then try to spot all the hidden leprechauns around the library. Then next week will have programs from Monday through Friday, including a St. Patrick’s Day Party, kids cooking class, and some “mad experiments.” Assistant Librarian Katie Reynolds has planned all the events to keep kids’ brains active during their time off from school, “Being a parent, I know how important it is to keep your kids busy and just to have something that’s giving them a place to come to and have something fun and creative and actually learning. And this is a great place for them to learn, where they can come and get books, learn about all different information, actually find friends, meet new people. I mean this is a great place to do it at, so this just gives their kids some place to go and I love creating activities for kids, I love kids.”
Reynolds adds she’s always welcome to ideas for upcoming youth programs, and volunteers who’d like to participate as well. These events are free to attend and take place from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Stuart Public Library.
