The Dallas Center-Grimes Boys’ Basketball team has more than doubled its win total from a year ago. In 2018-2019, the Mustangs finished just 8-14 on the year, but this year DC-G has impressed the competition with 17 wins.
DC-G was lead by a dynamic duo in the back court. Point guard, Luke Rankin was a consistent, glue guy for the Mustangs. In his Junior campaign, Rankin averaged 13.8 points per game. Rankin has also been an assist machine, with over 150 dimes on the year, to just 40 turnovers.
The second Mustang to make a big impact on the 2019-2020 was Sophomore, Cole Glasgow. Glasgow’s 16 points per contest paced the Mustangs. The biggest DC-G scoring threat was a consistent shooter from deep, just south of 40% for the year.
Head Coach, Joel Rankin has been impressed by his team’s determination and defensive effort throughout the course of the season. The Mustangs were resilient and have reason to be excited about the state of the program.
