A local basketball team has qualified for the state tournament.
The Woodward-Granger High School boy’s basketball team defeated Albia Saturday night 49-43 to advance to the Iowa High School Athletic Association State Tournament. Woodward-Granger will enter the tournament as the 8th seed with 22 wins against 2 losses. They will play the top seed of the Class 2A tournament in Boyden-Hull, which has a 21-3 overall record.
The game tips off at 8:15pm on Monday, March 9th at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. You can listen to the live play-by-play coverage of that game on 1310AM and 99.7FM KDLS.
