As the winter sports season is officially in the rear-view mirror for AC/GC, we’re going to look at back at some of the bes t moments from the season.
The Charger boys basketball team starts off our list at number five. AC/GC did not get off to a great start, dropping their first four, and five of their first six games. The Chargers were still finding their identity and dealing with some injuries/sickness at the time. AC/GC found themselves with their backs against the wall heading into the break with a disappointing season on their mind. A lot of teams would continue to spiral, but the Chargers used the holiday break to get back on track.
Led by their senior duo Bryce Littler and Quynton Younker they were able to start 2020 with a big 73-34 win over Guthrie County foe West Central Valley. This was not only the second win, but start an impressive run. AC/GC went on to go 6-3 in their next nine games to get the season back on track. Thanks to this run, they were able to host a playoff game, where they went on to beat West Central Valley for the third time this season 103-47 to give their seniors a well earned victory in their final game in Guthrie Center.
