The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

The meeting will begin an hour earlier than normal, with a public hearing scheduled for 8 a.m. to consider the Assessor’s fiscal year 2020-21 budget. The Board will then reconvene at 9, with consideration of the 25th pay application for the law enforcement center project. The Supervisors will also get an update on the facility. At 9:30 a.m. there will be a public hearing to discuss the total maximum property tax dollars, to be certified for the general and rural levies for fiscal year 2021.

Following that, the Board will consider approving the County budget for publication and set time and date for the budget public hearing. Other items on the agenda include: the first pay application for the DMACC classroom project at the Human Services Campus; discussion of the West Des Moines Sugar Creek stabilization project; a proposal for the Assessor’s building entrance; and a 28E agreement for region 11 of Central Iowa Workforce Development. The session will conclude with an update from the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance.

Tuesday’s meetings will be held in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
