A local area basketball team has qualified for the state tournament.

The Woodward-Granger High School boys basketball defeated Albia Saturday night 49-43 to advance to the Iowa High School Athletic Association State Tournament. Woodward-Granger will enter the tournament with 22 wins against 2 losses. The state tournament will be at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines from March 9th-13th. Their opponent has yet to be announced.
