As we’re now in the typical peak of the influenza season Guthrie County Hospital is implementing its temporary flu visitation rules.
As a precautionary action GCH is allowing no visitors on the inpatient floor, and for cases involving critically-ill patients or end-of-life situations, visitors are asked to speak with a nurse. Emergency room patients may have one companion with them and they must stay in the patient’s room. Companions cannot have a cough, sneezing, or fever and must be over 18 years old. Visitors are also asked to not dine in Sneakers Cafe or use the fitness center if they are experiencing coughing or sneezing, or have had any flu-like symptoms in the past seven days. These rules apply to visitors only, as anyone may seek medical care at GCH at any time.
