The Jefferson Public Library is encouraging residents to join them for a special year-long program.

Library Director Jane Millard says they are doing a “2020 Adult Library Challenge.” She explains, from now until November 30th, anyone 18 or older can participate, doing various activities.

“We are asking you to read 20 books and then do 20 other activities in the library. There’s lots of things to do in the library besides reading, and so we’re going to help you become more familiar with some of our other resources.”

Participants will receive an activity packet and when they complete the challenge, their names will be entered for prize drawings. To check out books and use some of the other resources, participants must have a library card, which can be obtained for free. Call or stop by the library to learn more or to sign up.
