The Panorama boys basketball team will make the trip to Council Bluffs to compete for a spot in the state tournament.

The Panthers will put their 17-6 season on the line against one of the best teams in Class 2A. They’ll be tasked with taking down Treynor, who has yet to lose to an Iowa school this season. The Cardinals are 23-1, with that lone loss coming from Blue Valley Northwest, a top-five team in Missouri. Panorama will need another monster night from senior Malachi Peasley who leads the team and erupted for 34 points in their district championship game against Kuemper Catholic Tuesday night. In that game the Panthers pulled away late for a 82-70 win. The win was the 12th in their last 13 trips out. Treynor won their district with a 67-44 win over Tri-Center to earn their spot the sub-state game. The Cardinals have been dominant all year long, outscoring their opponents 1044-594 in their 24 contests. That equates to a margin of +24.8 points per game, which is second in Class 2A.
