A revised five-year plan from the secondary roads department was approved by the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors Thursday.
County Engineer Josh Sebern showed the Board the bridge and road projects that have been scheduled for the current construction season, 2021, and 2022. Two upcoming projects are a repatching of Wagon Road, or County Road P28, which will be out for bid in April; and a bridge replacement in Thompson Township that will go to bid this fall for construction in 2021. Sebern also told the Board he will be attending the National Association of County Engineers Conference in Alabama this April, which was budgeted.
The Board then approved a liquor license application for Coulter’s Panorama Marine, and held a budget work session. Supervisor Mike Dickson shared that if they want to keep their property tax levy the same as last year’s, excluding the possible law enforcement center bond referendum, they have to cut $100,000 from the budget. The Supervisors were unable to fully determine where to make the budget cuts as they were needing more dollar figures from County Auditor Marci McClellan, who has been absent from Board meetings for the last three weeks.
