Three residents from the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area are in the running for the vacant seat on the Iowa Supreme Court.

The 15 applicants being interviewed on March 6th include Panora resident Mindy Larson Poldberg, Director of Government Relations for the Iowa Corn Growers Association; Adel resident Molly Weber, Assistant Attorney General for the Iowa Department of Justice; and Dexter resident Sharon Brenna Findley Bird, Guthrie County Attorney and owner of Bird Law Office, PLLC.

The applicants will be interviewed by the Iowa Judicial Nominating Commission, and written comments from the public on the applicants’ qualifications are welcomed. The public is also invited to observe the interviews in the supreme court courtroom at the Judicial Branch Building in Des Moines, or watch the live streamed and archived video online.
