The Panorama boys basketball team is now one game away from the state tournament.
The Panthers made the trip to Harlan to play Kuemper Catholic for the District 15 crown. Both teams came out of the gates reading each other out. The Knights led by two after the first quarter. Panorama then closed the gap to take a 36-36 stalemate into halftime. The Panthers went on an 8-2 run to take control of the game. Shortly after, two of Kuemper Catholic’s leading scorer found themselves with four fouls and had to sit for a long stretch to avoid fouling out. Panorama was able to build on that lead and keep Kuemper Catholic at bay. Great free throw shooting from the Panthers put the game on ice late in the fourth quarter and went on to win 82-70.
Panorama will head west to play Treynor in the sub-state game with a spot in Des Moines on the line. You can listen to the game on K107.9, online at RaccoonValleyRadio.com, or on the FREE KKRF app.
