An educational series on various kinds of bodily pain will continue next week, with 21st Century Rehab at Dallas County Hospital hosting a low back pain workshop in Perry.

The free program will be held Thursday, March 5th at 5:30 p.m. in the rehab clinic at the hospital. Rehabilitation Director Clint Lutterman says this is the second time they’ve focused on low back pain during the series. He points out that this type of pain is one of the most common in people of all ages, and he’s hoping to reach anyone who didn’t attend their previous workshop. “In my field, obviously we do a bunch of research and listening and learning, and (we find) a lot of people deal with pain for a long time before they try to do anything about it. And so by offering these regularly, we hope that people can at least come and get some information. It’s really just to come and learn, maybe to try to take a little bit more control of your own health (and) to learn about back pain, because there’s so many different things that could be causing it. And so (we’re) just trying to get some information out there to anybody that wants it!”

The workshop is free to attend, though registration is required, and can be done by calling the 21st Century Rehab clinic at DCH at 515-465-7672, or by visiting their website by clicking the link below.
