The West Central Valley Wildcats basketball season might have come to a close, but it doesn’t take away from the wonderful season that senior Jake Egger had for the Wildcats. Egger leads the entire class of 2A in average rebounds per game with 13, dominating on both the offensive and defensive glasses all season long. The senior did a fantastic job of putting himself in a position to corral as many rebounds as he did, and helped the Wildcats stay competitive on the boards night in and night out.
He also led the Wildcats in scoring and had one of the best stat lines of the year in their victory over Southeast Warren, where he had 23 points and 25 rebounds, with the 25 rebounds being the 3rd most by any player in the state of Iowa during the 2019-2020 season of a single game.
Egger might of played his final game in a Wildcat uniform, but his legacy will be remembered for a long time, and his presence missed on the team next year as well.
