AC/GC wrestling was represented in Des Moines over the weekend at the Iowa State wrestling tournament by three individuals.

The Chargers qualified three of their seven district qualifiers for the big dance. Juniors Cale Rowley, Seth Danker, and Gunnar Larsen each competed. Rowley’s season ended first after he went 0-2 in his first two matches on Thursday. Danker advanced to the quarterfinals after a first round victory. Then Larsen fell in his first match, just to earn another one after picking up a victory in the first round of the consultation. The Chargers ended day one of the tournament 2-3 as a team. Danker fell in the quarterfinals  to the number one seed who was previously unbeaten. Both Larsen and Danker‘s season ended and the second round of the consolation bracket.

While the three chargers didn’t place this year, the stage has been set for what is set to be a stellar senior season for the three individuals
