A Bouton man was arrested in Dallas County Friday for a felony charge of second or subsequent violation of his sex offender registration.
According to court documents, an arrest warrant was issued on February 18th for 27-year-old Christopher Joseph Hidlebaugh, which was executed by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. Per the criminal complaint, the suspect allegedly failed to register his place of residence with the Sheriff’s Office within five business days of moving to several locations in and around Perry and Bouton. As this is his second offense for violating the sex offender registation laws, it’s a class D felony. He was originally found guilty of indecent contact with a child, a class C felony, stemming from an incident in Perry in 2010.
Hidlebaugh was booked into Dallas County Jail and has since been released after posting $5,000 bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
