ADMs Kaden Sutton went 2-0 in day two of the wrestling tournament in Des Moines to advance to the state finals after defeating Chris Van Der Brink via fall in 1:39 in the quarterfinals and then defeating Van Meter/Earlham wrestler Derrin Sesker in an exciting match that saw Sutton win by the score of 4-3.
Sutton and Sesker went into an overtime match in Friday Night, with the score tied 1-1 with both accomplishing their point via escape. Sutton was able to get three on the OT period with an escape and takedown to just sneak by with the victory. Sutton moves to 39-1 on the season and will take on Taven Rich for the state championship at the class 2A – 285 pound match.
