The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team had their largest loss of the season against IKM Manning, falling by 21, but got their revenge on Friday Night winning 69-65 in a hyper exciting comeback, meaning that Panorama will move on to the next round of the playoffs and recording their 20th win of the season. The Panthers trailed by 13 at halftime as IKM Manning got some good looks and rode some great three point shooting to build their lead. Both teams also were dealing with foul trouble, as both sides had to make some tough decisions, and decisions that ultimately worked great for the Panthers.
Panorama came back with a huge 31 point fourth quarter, riding excellent transition offense, hitting clutch free throws, and making big time defensive stops to pull out the victory. Sophomores Payton Beckman and Angel Poldberg both recorded 20 points each in the game, as the Panthers didn’t play like a team that only has one senior on the roster. Also the home crowd was fantastic all night long, staying loud and continuing to push their team to victory, which they were ultimately able to do.
Panorama will be playing their next game in the Class 2 District 3 tournament on Wednesday against West Hancock. The game will be broadcast on the Raccoon Valley Radio Network and online at Racoonvalleyradio.com
