The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Thursday.
During open forum, County Environmental Administrator Chuck Wenthold told the Board that an upgrade will need to be made to the Greene County Courthouse firm alarm system. Part of the upgrade is getting it wired to the law enforcement center so they are notified when an incident happens. It will cost $1,000 annually to continue using the service. Due to the cost not meeting the threshold to go out for bids, the Supervisors agreed with the decision.
The Board then appointed Amy Youngblood as Bristol Township Clerk and Andrew Woodley as Trustee. Finally, following the continuation of a public hearing, the Board approved a $303,000 cost estimate from Bolton and Menk to make an improvement in drainage district 187. The engineering firm recommended the improvement over a repair of the open ditch. The majority of homeowners in the district also voted in favor of the improvement. The project will include deepening the upper portion of the open ditch.
