As high school graduations are a few months away, there’s plenty of scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors to take advantage of. Some of those are through the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson.
There are two scholarship opportunities for individuals who plan on entering or who are already attending college in a healthcare-related field. The Healthcare Scholarship is up to $1,000 per year for four years and the Greene County Medical Center Auxiliary offers six scholarships of $500. The Auxiliary scholarship requires a 15-minute interview to be scheduled for either the morning of Saturday, April 4th or the afternoon of Wednesday, April 8th. The purpose of both scholarships is to provide financial aid to students in the medical center’s area to obtain nursing education or education in a health-related field.
Scholarship applications are due by Wednesday, March 18th. Those can be sent to Tori Jamison at the medical center. Contact Jamison for more information at 515-386-0102.
