A free program with the Greene County ISU Extension office in Jefferson will help women in agriculture get a better handle on finances.
The “What’s New in Farm Family Living Costs?-Benchmarking” class is part of the Annie’s Project for Women in Ag series. Participants will learn the value of benchmarking and how it is used for agriculture production when comparing farm financial performance. The one-hour workshop will cover how to compare farm family expenses with data, establish a reality check on how much living expenses a family can expect the farm to pay and explore how benchmarking helps make better decisions.
The free session will take place Friday, February 28th from 11am-noon at the Greene County Extension office in Jefferson. To register call 515-386-2138 or stop by the Extension office.
