Anyone interested in Iowa’s history or believe they know lots of facts about the state can put themselves to the test with a special program in Jefferson.

The Greene County Historical Society and the Jefferson Public Library are teaming up to host the “Iowa Culture Trivia Challenge” at the historical museum on Monday, February 24th at 2pm. The free program will be led by State Historical Society of Iowa’s Coordinator of Special Projects and Outreach Jessica Rundlett. Attendees will learn about interesting Iowa facts in a friendly-competition environment.

A Vinton native, Rundlett started with the State Historical Society eight years ago. She helped develop the “Iowa Culture” app for mobile devices with information about state attractions. Rundlett also helped bring the “Iowa History 101” mobile museum to Jefferson last summer. She has a bachelor’s degree from Cornell College in politics, history and international business, along with a master’s degree in teaching from Simpson College.

Monday’s program is free and open to the public with refreshments served.
