Greene County High School will be represented in the first two weight classes in Class 2A at today’s Iowa State Wrestling Tournament in Des Moines. Freshman McKinley Robbins at 106 lbs. and sophomore Brenner Gallagher at 113 are Rams who qualified. Robbins is 34-1, ranked second, and seeded third, while Gallagher is 33-13 and not ranked in the top 10.

Class 2A wrestlers begin at 1:30 p.m. and both will be on the mats right away. The tournament starts at 9 a.m. with Class 3A and all three Raccoon Valley Radio stations will be covering Dallas Center-Grimes and Waukee in the large school class. Other 2A wrestlers we’ll have play-by-play for are from ADM, Perry, Woodward-Granger, Van Meter/Earlham, and Winterset. Class 1A begins at 6 p.m. and we’ll be following ACGC, Coon Rapids-Bayard, West Central Valley, Nodaway Valley, and Ogden.
