A proposal for increased staff and wages for the Stuart Police Department will be considered by the City Council tonight.

A special meeting was scheduled at their regular meeting last week, after Chief Dave Reha gave his proposal to the Council. The agenda also includes possible purchase of a used ambulance, and discussion about changing a section to the City Administrator chapter of the city code.

The Council meets at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers.
