Just one game of the 21 game regular season schedule remains for the Dallas Center-Grimes Boys’ Basketball team, and that final tune-up before postseason play begins will be played tonight in Alleman.
The 14-6 Mustangs battled hard in their final home game of the year on Friday, but came up a bit short against UNI commit, Bowen Born, and the Norwalk Warriors, 66-56.
DC-G will face North Polk tonight and will have the chance to tune-up any blemishes before the Mustangs begin District play next Monday at home versus Perry.
DC-G was seeded #2, and will receive home-court advantage through, at least, the first two rounds of the District bracket.
North Polk is coming off of a game last night, when they faced the Bluejays of Perry. Back-to-back games for teams can often lead to fatigue, and the tired legs of the Comets should be an advantage for the Mustangs to get out in transition and run.
Tonight’s game is set for a 7:30pm tip in Alleman.
