Roberta Thompson of Dallas Center was traveling west near the 28000 block of 240th St., when she slowed down for a school bus with their lights on dropping off kids and was rear ended by a vehicle driven by Alexander Nichols of Grimes. Thompson was transported to Mercy Westlakes and a passenger in Nichols vehicle was transported to Methodist Main. Damage to Thompson’s vehicle estimated at $5000.00 and $5000.00 to Nichols. Nichols was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

Nathaniel Jacque Heileman, age 41 of 2121 Greene St., Adel was arrested on a warrant for probation violation-original charge of domestic abuse assault.

Jesse Aleksander Lopez Hernandez, age 21 of 1311 Hutton St., Des Moines was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of driving while barred.
