Today is Presidents Day, and several public entities around Dallas County are closed in observance of the holiday.

In Perry, all City offices, the water works, the McCreary Community Building, and the public library are closed. The regular Perry City Council meeting that would normally be held tonight will instead be tomorrow evening. Additionally, those who have garbage pickup today will be served Tuesday, and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Wednesday. In Adel, all City offices and the public library are closed for Presidents Day, though there is no change to garbage and recycling routes.

Finally, all Dallas County offices are closed today, including all services at the courthouse. However, state offices are open, including the Department of Transportation driver’s license station in Waukee. The post offices and banking institutions throughout the County are also closed for the holiday.
