Three individuals face multiple charges following a traffic stop in Greene County Thursday night.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy conducted a traffic stop for speeding on East 2nd Street near North 11th Street in Grand Junction at 8:05pm. During the stop, the deputy noticed one of the passengers, 24-year-old Joshua Blumberg of Coon Rapids, had several outstanding arrest warrants. Additionally, while the driver, 22-year-old Whitney Campbell of Jefferson, was searching for her insurance card, the deputy noticed drug paraphernalia. Sheriff Jack Williams says a probable cause search was done on the vehicle, where suspected marijuana, methamphetamine, wax marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized.
Blumberg, Campbell and another passenger, 20-year-old Dakota Barrett of Grand Junction were each charged with Class C Felonies for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, Class D Felonies for third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance and simple misdemeanors for possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams adds due to Campbell having a medical issue during the alleged incident, they have requested arrest warrants. Blumberg and Barrett were booked into the Greene County Jail.
