Senior Will Hansen, junior Sawyer Schiltz, sophomore Brenner Gallagher, and freshman McKinley Robbins are Greene County High School wrestlers that qualified from last Saturday’s Class 2A Sectional tournament in Adel into this Saturday’s District tourney in Atlantic. Robbins is a Sectional champion while the others were second in their weight classes. The top two finishers at the District advance to the State Tournament in Des Moines Feb. 20-21-22 at Wells Fargo Arena. All three Raccoon Valley Radio stations will again this year have extensive play-by-play coverage of area wrestlers at State.

All four Rams are first time District qualifiers and Hansen talked about that. “We have some tough guys. Me being the only senior that qualified for Districts, I see all the guys are ready. We’ll be prepared.”

When asked about what it would mean to advance to State, the senior added, “It’s always been a dream on mine, so it’d be really cool to get out of districts and make it to State.”
