Greene County High School Speech Department recently wrapped up the large group season.

Speech coach Kelley Gray says three entries competed at the state contest this past Saturday at Waukee High School. Only one, short film, earned a Division I-rating from the three judges. Choral Reading and Group Improvisation each received a Division II-rating. However, none were nominated for the All-State Festival at Iowa State University in Ames on February 22nd. Gray is happy with how the students performed throughout the large group contests for districts and state.

Greene County will now prepare for the District Individual Speech Contest that will be held on February 29th at Panorama High School in Panora.
