The Adel City Council will convene this evening in regular session.
The meeting will start with a public hearing regarding the proposed maximum tax dollar levy for fiscal year 2020-21. Following the hearing, the Council will consider a resolution approving the levy amount, and will set a public hearing to consider the City’s certified budget. Next, there will be a proclamation for February 13th as Honey Bee Day, as well as updates on the process to sell land in Kinnick Feller Park to Restoration Harmony and proposed changes to Dallas County’s storm siren activation protocol.
In new business, the Council will have discussion and possible action regarding a funding request from Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Authority (HIRTA) for the next fiscal year. They will then hold discussion on the draft for an all-terrain vehicle ordinance. Finally, the Council will consider a resolution that would end camping services at Island Park, at the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Board. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. tonight in the Council Chambers at Adel City Hall.
