Greene County head football coach Caden Duncan talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the 2020 football district assignment for the Rams. Greene County remains in Class 2A and is in District 9 with Atlantic, Clarinda, Des Moines Christian, Red Oak, and Shenandoah.
“I think it’s a great situation for us. You know there are some good quality teams in there, but overall, when I look at it, I think we have a good chance to compete for a district championship and really that’s all you can ask.”
DMC and Clarinda are new to the district while the Rams, Atlantic, RO, and Shen remain the same. Both Class 2A State Champion OABCIG (Ida Grove) and Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) dropped a class to 1A. Clarinda is up a class from 1A. Greene County beat DMC last November in the opening round of the playoffs and both the Rams and Lions will have significant graduation losses.
