The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors set the salary and wage increases for elected officials and County employees Thursday.
The Board approved a 3.5% increase for both elected officials and County employees on a 3-2 vote. Supervisors Jack Lloyd and Everett Grasty opposed, as they were in favor of a 3% raise. A resolution based on this motion will be on the Supervisors’ agenda for their Tuesday meeting. This follows a recommendation for a 5% increase from the County Compensation Board. The Board also approved the Guthrie County Library Association’s budget, giving them a 3.5% increase on this year’s allocation of $119,618, a raise of about $4,000. The Association requested a $12,000 increase for fiscal year 2021. The Board also discussed seeking bids to recodify the County’s Code of Ordinances, and scheduling a pre-bond levy resolution before the special election for a law enforcement center addition on March 3rd.
