Next Tuesday night on the 11th will be a blast from the past as the Adel-Desoto-Minburn booster club will be hosing a night of history for basketball.

During the ADM basketball games there will be having a girls 6 on 6 basketball “demonstration”. At halftime of the girls varsity game, the Classic Chassis Granny Basketball Teams is coming out to play the style of ball that girls played back in the 1920s. At that time, where 2 girls from each team stayed on one end of the court. They also will be wearing period uniforms as well.

During the halftime of the boys varsity game, some of those team members will be playing the more recent “2-court” style of play like was played here in Iowa until about 1993-94. They will have some local ladies that will be playing against the granny’s team.

It should be an awesome experience for the fans in attendance, as this will happen on the next home for the Tigers, Tuesday the 11th.
