When a basketball team has five wins over three seasons, it’s not often a two-game season series sweep takes place. The Greene County girls are in position to do just that when they visit Saydel on the northeast side of Des Moines tomorrow night.

The Rams lost their first 14 games this season and last four of last season for an 18 game skid that was snapped against Saydel in Jefferson on Jan. 30 by a 50-48 final. When Friday night gets here, Coach Tyler Westhoff’s team will try for two wins in a row against the Eagles while Saydel will try to snap a 28 game losing streak including 18 games this season and 10 from last season.

It’s a girl/boy doubleheader from Saydel on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage starts at 5:45 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.
