The Dallas Center-Grimes Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams were in action on Monday at Pella Christian in a rescheduled, make-up Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader. The result of the night was all DC-G.
The Fillies were able to control the pace of the game, as the DC-G offense was able to get going a quick clip. Jordan Cunningham and Julia Reis combined for 41 points in the first game at PC. That win on Monday gave the Fillies their 11th win of the season. Heading into Friday, the DC-G Girls’ are 12-6 following their win on Tuesday at Indianola.
On the Boys’ side, DC-G came out firing on all cylinders, making big plays down the stretch, and were able to put away a very talented Pella Christian team on their home floor. DC-G left Pella Christian as winners, 64-56.
The PC Boys’ team has a number of quality wins on their resume this season, including Pella, Norwalk, and two one possesion losses versus Indianola.
The DC-G Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams will get another chance to sweep Pella Christian tomorrow, as the second doubleheader between the two schools will be played at the home of the Mustangs and Fillies, DC-G High School in Grimes.
Game time is set for 6:00pm tomorrow for the Girls’, with the Boys’ set follow shortly thereafter.
