Nevada was a 57-13 Heart of Iowa Activities Conference girls’ basketball winner over Greene County in Jefferson on Tuesday night in the middle school gym in Jefferson. The loss dropped the Rams to 1-11 in conference play and 1-17 overall. The Cubs improved to 8-11 and 6-6. The contest was heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

Izzy Bravard, the lone senior on the Greene County team, had missed three of the previous five games due to illness. She was in the lineup vs. the Cubs and scored six points with three each by junior Brianna Osterson and sophomore Brianna Habben. Junior Sadie Wilson had the other Greene County point. Thirty-two turnovers and just four field goals did the Rams in.

The Cubs had 11 players score two or more points. Sydney Mosinksi had 12 with 11 by Shelby Hazlit.

The Rams play Friday night at Saydel in Des Moines. The Eagles are the only team the Rams have beaten and that was a 50-48 game on Jan. 30 in Jefferson. Friday’s action is a girl/boy doubleheader on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
