Greene County’s high school wrestling regular season is over and all that’s left is the postseason. That run begins at ADM High School in Adel this Saturday as individuals and teams start the journey to their respective State tournaments. The top two individuals at each weight class move on to the Feb. 15 District in Atlantic and the top two teams qualify for a Feb. 11 dual meet Regional.

Coach Zach Beekman’s Rams went 23-5 in dual meets, setting a program record for the most dual meets wrestled, and won, in a season. Sectional number 3 in Adel is loaded, both with highly regarded individuals and with teams that could make a deep postseason run. It’s likely the only number one seeded wrestler for the Rams this Saturday would be freshman McKinley Robbins at 106 lbs. He’s 30-1 with a 26 match winning streak and is ranked number two in 2A. Several other Rams have had good seasons, and most face stiff competition to advance to the District.
